摘要:近年来,作为一种新的计算模式,云计算利用互联网资源提供广泛的信息服务,迅速得到了世界范围内的普遍关注。本报告将首先回顾了计算技术的发展演化历程:从并行计算、集群计算、网格计算、再到云计算,然后展示工业界关于云计算系统和服务开发和部署方面的最新实践,最后探讨云计算中若干挑战性问题,对云计算时代的到来进行总结和展望。
简历:Maozhen Li是英国伦敦布鲁内尔西大学工程设计学院的高级讲师,1997年在中国科学院软件所获得博士学位。研究兴趣包括分布式计算(对等计算,网格计算,云计算,移动计算)和智能系统,在相关研究领域发表了80余篇论文。其撰写的《网格核心技术》一书作为该领域的权威教材由Wiley 出版社于2005年出版,并被清华大学出版社翻译成中文于2006年出版。担任过30多个国际会议和3个著名国际期刊的审稿人和编委,被聘为英国计算机协会院士,同时也是分布式计算系统工程硕士学位的课程主任。
摘 要: Cloud computing is rapidly emerging as a promising computing paradigm that facilitates the use of Internet resources as utility services. This talk reviews the evolution process of computing technologies from parallel computing, cluster computing, grid computing to cloud computing. It presents the current practices of the IT industry in developing and deploying cloud systems and services. Finally it discusses a number of challenges that need to be addressed to make cloud computing a reality.
简 历: Maozhen Li is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering and Design at Brunel University, West London, UK. He received the PhD from the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. His research interests are focused on distributed computing technologies (including peer to peer computing, grid computing, cloud computing, mobile computing) and intelligent systems. He has over 80 scientific publications in these areas. He authored “The Grid: Core Technologies”, a well-recognized textbook on grid computing which was published by Wiley publisher in 2005 and translated into Chinese by Tsinghua University Press in 2006. He has served over 30 international conferences and is currently serving 3 international journals. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and the course director for MSc in Distributed Computing Systems Engineering
